Modular staircase with own hands

The manufacture of modular stairs is not a very long process, but rather laborious. It can significantly speed up a clear algorithm of actions, as well as the availability at hand of all the necessary materials. In any case, the modular staircase, made by own hands, will add to your home coziness and comfort.

How to assemble a modular ladder: a master class

  1. To begin it is necessary with drawing up competent drawings of possible variants of modular ladders. After this, we determine which of them is suitable for us.
  2. Next, determine the number of steps. For this, the distance between the first and second floor floors is divided by the height of the steps. In our case, this is 2.5 m by 22.5 cm. We get 11.12, after rounding out 11 steps.
  3. After that you need to check whether all the necessary elements of the modular ladders are available. For this design, you will need: intermediate and angular elements, a set of top and bottom elements, a railing , a bolt, a meter and two-meter supports, steps of different configurations, handrails.
  4. We proceed to assemble the frame. For this, it is necessary to assemble the intermediate elements into a rigid structure, aligning them in a single line and fixing each other with fixing bolts.
  5. After this we proceed to the direct installation of the modular ladder. For this, under the 5 and 9 steps we put the meter and two-meter supports, level the frame by the level and fix it.
  6. For each element of the ladder, install the intermediate plates, fixing them with screws with a countersunk head. We make the marking of steps and drill through holes of the required diameter. After that, we fix the rings for each step and mount the racks of the rail, passing them through the steps.
  7. We fix the bolt and the racks of the railing with the bolt from below. Level the steps relative to the center. We fix the steps to the frame through the intermediate plates with 6 self-tapping screws and a washer.
  8. Next, you need to mark the rail to connect them to the posts. The pitch between the marks should be 317 mm. After that, in the marked places we drill blind holes with a diameter of 7 mm to a depth of 30 mm and fix the handrails to the racks of the handrail. To do this, we use a loop loop - one part is screwed into the rail, the other - into the racks of the railing. And fix the handrails to the racks of the railing, connecting each loop with a pin.

One of the modular modular stairs, called the "direct march," is ready. This is how it looks after painting.
