Moisture-proof MDF

Not all cases for finishing works in the room is suitable for ordinary MDF plate. Especially if the room is expected to have high humidity. Especially for such cases, a moisture resistant version of MDF was developed.

Material Features

Moisture-resistant MDF is different from the usual one in that its resistance to moisture is enhanced by using a special adhesive in the production process. It reliably binds the particles of matter, and they do not swell under the influence of high humidity. Thus, the entire moisture-resistant MDF board does not deform from moisture, but reliably retains its original form. Such MDF boards are subjected to conventional milling and, like the traditional finishing material, are then covered with a finishing finish: film or paint.

Application of moisture-resistant MDF

Moisture-resistant MDF, of course, is usually used in the finishing of those rooms where high humidity is possible. In each house and apartment there are usually two such rooms: a bathroom and a kitchen.

Moisture-resistant MDF panels for the bathroom are mandatory, if this material is selected as a finishing for the room. After all, in this room there is a great chance not only for the accumulation of water vapor, but also for the presence of droplets of water, water splashes falling on the walls. Also in the bathroom you can buy a countertop made of moisture-resistant MDF for installing a sink and toilet table equipment.

Wall panels made of moisture-resistant MDF for kitchen can be used as desired. Here, the steam does not accumulate so intensively, so conventional wood-chip panels will do, but if you want to keep the repair for a long time in its original form, it is better, of course, to turn to a more secure option. Panels can have a variety of finishes, for example, moisture resistant MDF panels can be applied to the tile in the area of the kitchen apron.

Another option for using this material is the outer door made of moisture-resistant MDF. It will not only reliably serve a long time and protect the interior of the house, but also look interesting and unusual.
