People with different ages and social categories are affected by joint problems. Rheumatism, arthritis, osteochondrosis have long and firmly entered our life. The pharmaceutical industry regularly improves and develops new drugs that help in the fight against the manifestations of joint diseases. But not always one remedy can effectively remove all the symptoms that accompany the pathology of the joints.
Orthofen is a well-known and inexpensive medicine, which has been recognized by many people. The active ingredient in the Orthofen-Diclofenac tablets provides a strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.
Indications for the use of Orthofen tablets
Direct indications are the presence of symptoms of such diseases as:
- gout;
- Bechterew's disease ;
- rheumatism of soft tissues;
- bruises, sprains, tenderness of muscles after physical exertion;
- osteoarthritis;
- radiculitis;
- lumbago;
- sciatica;
- pinching of nerve endings;
- bursitis.
In addition, Orthofen copes well with migraine attacks, renal and hepatic colic. Orthofen also removes the symptoms of inflammatory diseases not associated with joints and muscles, for example:
- non-infectious conjunctivitis;
- ENT diseases;
- adnexitis ;
- primary dysmenorrhea.
Also, the drug is well recommended as an anesthetic after surgical interventions in the ophthalmic sphere. And the use of Orthophene for a cold or fever smoothly removes the headache and high fever.
Orthophene dosage forms
Due to the fact that the spectrum of application of Orthofen is wide, it is produced in several forms:
- Tablets - for oral administration with the aim of anesthetizing and relieving inflammation;
- ointment - for external use with bruises, muscle strains;
- injections - to relieve pain in an acute inflammatory period;
- candles - with gastrointestinal diseases.
How to take Orthofen tablets?
To remove acute inflammation it is recommended to start treatment with injections, injected into the muscle. If there is no possibility of injections, then, as the instruction for the Orthofen tablets says, the drug is taken without chewing 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. As a rule, this drug is well tolerated by patients and only occasional side manifestations from the gastrointestinal tract (heartburn, belching, stool) and dizziness are possible.
For subsequent treatment, the dose is reduced to one tablet per day. Since ortrofen has an irritant effect on the gastric mucosa, it should be taken strictly after ingestion, with enough water or milk.
Orthofen has the property of diluting the blood and therefore its administration with aspirin is highly undesirable, as the possibility of uncontrolled bleeding increases.
Despite good indices of tolerance and therapeutic effect of Orthofen, you should consult your doctor to determine the optimal dose of medication.
