Pilot-bomb jacket

A pilot's jacket (or a bomb) looks like a sports jacket, but it came to fashion from aviation. In the 1920s, two Americans opened an air club and offered their customers leather jackets so that it would not be cold in an open airplane. In just 10 years, the US Air Force ordered a batch of such jackets for bomber pilots. Hence the name - the bomb.

And yet - the "pilot" or "bomb"?

During the First World War, the jackets were made of hard leather and were supplied with a turn-down collar with sheep's wool.

When they came up with indoor cabinets for airplanes, the need for such warm clothes fell off, and the bombers began to make of dense fabric, and also removed the heavy collar and replaced it with a small knitted fabric. That is, in fact, one model flows smoothly from the other, but since no one has forgotten the good old leather pilot, in the fashion world they just decided to separate the two concepts.

Bomber is a lightweight fabric jacket with a free cut, with a round neck. It is equipped with elastic bands at the waist and sleeves, zipper (or buttons). To brightly imagine a bomb, remember any youth American film - for sure there flashes at least one schoolboy in such a jacket.

The pilot is a winter version of the bomb, more like the same jackets for pilots. The pilot is distinguished by a high collar with a fur lining and belt on the belt. In fact, a leather pilot-bomb is a sheepskin coat, only very stylish.

Women's jacket pilot (bomb)

Bombers are today worn by men and women. But this does not mean that the pilot - not women's clothing. Modern manufacturers offer girls bombs of various types: bright, colorful, with floral prints , quilted, truncated and, conversely, elongated (to the middle of the thigh). Models of bombers, regardless of the season, can be both minimalistic and baggy, but at the same time emphasizing the fragile maiden figure. Combine the bomb can with anything - a skirt of any length, jeans, sneakers, heavy boots. The main thing is to feel easy, athletic and self-confident.
