Plum "Eurasia"

Plum grade "Eurasia" refers to the early varieties of dining assignments. Its berries differ delicate flesh and pleasant strong aroma. Variety of plum "Eurasia 21" is an interspecific hybrid, unexpectedly obtained by breeders of Voronezh due to hybridization of "Lakrescent". And in 1986, the resulting variety was introduced into the State Register for the Central Black Earth region.

Description of the plum "Eurasia"

The tree of the "Eurasia" plum variety is sprawling, large. Large fruits have a round shape and a dark maroon-blue color with a strong wax coating.

The plum ripens in early-mid-August. Its flesh is incredibly juicy, orange-yellow, sweet and sour-tasting, with a pleasant aroma. Since the "Eurasia" plum variety is self-fertile, its pollinators are the varieties "Record", "Mayak", "Renkloed collective farm" and "Renocode harvest".

The first fruiting occurs 3-4 years after planting. Trees are resistant to frost: branches, buds and roots withstand severe frost, characteristic of the middle band.

Since the variety is regionalized in the Central Chernozem region, trees are trying to choose sunny and well-warmed areas with loamy fertile soil. Not suitable for "Eurasia" slopes with a steepness of more than 25ยบ, as well as the occurrence of groundwater closer than 1.5-2 meters.

Watering is also very necessary for the plum, because it is very hygrophilous. Young plants watered every 10 days, consuming 30-40 liters for a single tree. Adult plants can be watered every 2 weeks with a consumption of 60 liters.

Fractured fruits are a sure sign of a lack of moisture. However, one should not allow waterlogging, from which leaves turn yellow and the tops die. To regulate frequently to the father of watering is necessary depending on the weather conditions.

The first fruits on the trees appear for 3-4 years. At the age of 7 years, the average yield per tree is 18-28 kg, and at 8 years - 30-40 kg. The maximum tree yield under favorable conditions is 50 kg.

Fruit ripening begins at the end of July, and they reach maturity in the first half of August. Harvesting is done manually in several stages a week before the onset of removable maturity.
