Shoes clogs

Historically, sabot shoes go back to national shoes of various European countries. It was either entirely wooden shoes on a massive platform, or models with leather uppers. Sabo such shoes were called in France, in Great Britain, for example, the other name - clogs - was distributed. Both of these words are now used to refer to models on a wooden or imitating wooden platform.

Women's leather clogs

Like many elements of fashion, taken from national costumes, sabot shoes with leather tops on wooden, cork or other platforms appeared on the catwalks in the early 70s of the XX century. The first adapted model of this shoe was presented by Dutch designer Jan Jansen. Women's clogs made of genuine leather became popular among hippies, as they were distinguished by the use of environmentally friendly materials, great convenience due to a wide platform and a stable heel. And also such footwear possessed wide opportunities for decoration. The latter is due to the fact that the upper front of the clogs usually has a large area and closes the foot almost to the ankles in the summer models. Sabo same, produced for the winter, outwardly look like boots or half-boots on a characteristic platform.

In the new millennium, interest in female clogs reappeared in 2010 after the shows of Louis Vuitton , Chanel and Miu Miu, during which models marched along the podium in various variations of sabot on the wedge and heel. Inspired by the ideas of iconic designers, many women of fashion then acquired comfortable pairs of klogos. At the same time, they began to execute their more budgetary counterparts: with the top of leatherette, on the sole of polyurethane or other synthetic materials, with the appearance of only imitating a tree. Designers began to decorate such shoes with embroidery, iron fittings, sequins and sequins. There were many models of clogs with open and closed nose.

However, now the interest in this footwear is not so great, although the unusual models of the blogs periodically appear on the shows of famous designers.

Rubber clogs

Another direction of borrowing the form of classic clogs was the production of comfortable shoes, completely made of rubber. Such models are very light, almost do not wear out and do not suffer from dirt and humidity, that is why they are very demanded among farmers and rural residents. And the bright rubber clogs of Crocs, the acknowledged manufacturer of such shoes, suited even the urban dandies.
