The weight of animals reaches 14 kg with growth up to 45 cm at the withers. Therefore, the savanna breed is the first candidate for the largest domestic cat in the world.
- The maine coon giant . These animals are also called American racoon cats. The average weight of males is usually around 7-12 kg, although quite often there are outstanding specimens of about 15 kg, which gives the right to enroll these animals in the breed list for the largest domestic cat. If we compare the temperament of Maine Coons, then their character resembles the habits of the Persians. These cats have dignity and independent character, although they are happy to be with the owner all the time. Those who want to have animals of this breed should understand that Maine Coons need a sufficiently large living space.
- Reed cat chauzy . The Chauzy has already left the category of wild animals and has the right to speak at exhibitions, which means that we can mention them in the article, which describes the biggest domestic cats. They have in addition to the blood of wild Reed cousins, and the genes of Abyssinian cats, which have a gray-yellowish coat color. At home chauses grow to 12 kg.
