The breed of cats asher

In 2006, an American biotechnology company announced the creation of a new hybrid breed of cats, which was named asher (in honor of the pagan goddess). This breed was bred as a result of crossing an African serval, a Bengal cat and a simple domestic cat. The breed of asher has become the largest among domestic cats, it can reach a weight of fourteen kilograms and a growth of one meter. The constitution of these cats is strong, muscular with strong paws. They are flexible and mobile. Breeders also claimed that their breed of asper was hypoallergenic.

Breeders were convinced that, despite the militant appearance and impressive size, graceful ashhers are wonderful pets. By nature, asheers are no different from ordinary domestic cats: affectionate, playful and very sociable, have a balanced and calm temperament. Also, the big cat asher will not be very much against walking on a leash, unlike his smaller brethren. Ashera are sociable and will accompany you everywhere, so that you do not, with curiosity watching what is happening.

In matters of feeding and care Ashra are also unpretentious: they eat ordinary cat food, their short wool must be periodically combed out, as in any other home beauty. The creators of the breed assured the public that these big pussies were educated, intelligent and very friendly, easily get along with your other pets. They also get along well with children and are very playful, but they are easy to learn and quickly learn the rules of behavior in a city apartment. True, vinyl tips on claws breeders still advise to buy.

Among other things, cat asher became the most expensive breed of cats. Kittens of the breed are sold on average at a price of 22-25 thousand dollars. Plus, everyone who wanted to buy such an exotic pet had to register for a period of nine months, since the number of kittens was very limited.

According to breeders, there are four varieties of asher cats:

An interesting fact: one of the main conditions for the acquisition of the kitten is the mandatory castration or sterilization.

A unique asher is a grand deception

The truth about the origin of cat asher has put on a lot of noise in 2008-2009. It turned out that this is not a new breed. The breeder from Pennsylvania, Chris Shirk, is another, real, exotic rare breed of savannah cats, learned in photos of his pupils and asked for an investigation and DNA tests. As a result, it turned out that the allegedly newly derived asher breed is in fact a scam. In fact, these cats do exist, but they are representatives of a completely different breed - the savannah. This breed was bred in America back in the 80s of the twentieth century as a result of crossing of the African serval and the domestic Bengal cat (which is also a hybrid of a wild Bengal cat and just a domestic pet).

The breed of savannah cats is very rare and is not very common in the world, this allowed the representative of the American company to mislead people for so long. Even now, several years after the official exposure, there are such swindlers who still sell unique asher. And very many people, not knowing the truth, believe unscrupulous breeders.
