Ways of lacing sneakers

Today, there are many types of lacing shoe, both traditional options, and original. Looking at them, it's not difficult to guess that different ways of lacing the sneakers can change the look of the model almost beyond recognition.

Variants of a lacing of sneakers

Let's look at the different types of lacing shoeing on the charts.

Traditional lacing

This is the correct lacing of the sneakers: it begins with a sock where the two ends of one lace are pulled outwards, after which they intersect, and then again are passed from the inside to the outside.

European way

This method looks non-trivial and new in our regions: pass the lace on the outside from the sock holes, and then pass the yellow end (see picture) through the bottom so that it is above the blue end (see the picture). The blue and yellow ends of the lace come out alternately through one hole.

Straight lacing of sneakers

This way of lacing allows you to hide the diagonal crossing of the lace.

Pass the lace through the holes at the toe and enter the ends inside the sneaker. Then lift the yellow end (see picture) to the right and thread it from the top through the parallel left hole. After that, combine the two ends inside the sneaker and pass them through the bottom, and then thread the next upper left hole. After this, pull them from the top to the right and slide into the right parallel hole. So it is necessary to continue to the end, where each lace is cut into a separate hole.

Lace-up shoe with 2 laces in a straight lacing technique

The double lacing of the sneakers looks very impressive. Today there are different double laces for running shoes, and the choice depends on personal preference.

Two-color lacing of running shoes begins with tying a knot of contrasting laces. Then place the site of the knot in the toe area inside the sneaker, and pull one end outward, then slide it over the top and thread down into the opposite hole. Next, the technique of lacing two laces is no different from the aforementioned straight lacing.

Chess lacing sneakers with two laces

To beautifully lace up the laces on sneakers in the form of a chessboard, you will need two contrasting laces. Despite the fact that this scheme seems complicated, in fact it is very easy to do: you need to make a straight lacing using a lace of the same color. After that, you need to take another bright lace and at the sock to hide its end inside, and the free end to begin to weave the grid vertically upwards, first by passing it from above the strips of the horizontally placed lace, and then from below, etc.

To make the pattern look beautiful, the laces should be wide and tight.

Sports lacing of sneakers

This lacing is often used on skates: it is not intended for tightening, but very well fixes the foot. This is one of the strongest laces.

It is necessary to insert a string through the bottom of the sock, and then let the free ends, which are outwardly pass, cross in the cross-section under the first stretched stitch. Then the ends are cut from the bottom to the top and in a cross-type variant are podded under the stitches.

Twisted lacing

There are several ways to lace up sneakers with twisted loops: vertical and horizontal:

  1. A horizontal lacing can be made if one lace is worn at the bottom of the sock, and then the free ends are twisted 3 times. After that, the free ends are again passed from the bottom upwards, and so to the end of the holes.
  2. A vertical lacing version can be made if you pass a cord from below, and wind the loose ends three times in a vertical direction, and then again pass from the bottom up. This is a simple, but at the same time, original lacing.

Back loop

This lacing looks very nice, but its disadvantage is that the laces wear out pretty quickly. To make a reverse loop, thread the bottom up through the holes at the toe of the lace. Free edges twist once, and then from below again thread the loose ends. Do this to the end and tie the knot.
