Today we will talk about what qualities of character are, which ones like guys, and which ones repel, and also how to find out what a person's character is.
At what age is the character formed?
Many parents mistakenly believe that the newly made member of the family is a white sheet on which you can draw anything. Certainly, some qualities of character depend on what settings parents gave in childhood, but it is important to understand that a person develops and changes throughout his life (although a fundamental perception is laid in it for up to three years), and life begins in the womb mother.
Accentuations and temperament
It is believed that the behavior is determined by the character, but meanwhile this or that behavior (role) gradually leads to the dynamics of the character. This was said by Aristotle. However, there are still such foundations of character that are inherent in us from birth, and influence other qualities. It's about concepts such as accentuation and temperament.
What is this mysterious word accentuation. So psychologists call the excessive development of certain traits of character. Classifications for accentuations have been developed somewhat, we often use only two characteristics:
- An extrovert. This type of people are people who are oriented toward social activities and in a large company who feel themselves like a fish in the water.
- Introvert. Many confuse introversion with shyness, but this is not entirely true. Simply introverts derive vital energy from their own sources and well feel themselves alone or surrounded by a small number of people.
In addition to accentuations, psychologists combine character traits in groups according to temperaments. You probably heard these definitions: choleric, phlegmatic, sanguine and melancholic. Before describing them, let's try to determine which of the four types of temperament you belong to?
