The easiest way to make a beautiful wicker chair is the decoupage of a conventional plastic chair.

  1. For the design of the chair, we need cardboard and newspapers, from which you need to form tubes of the same diameter (you can use a pencil).
  2. We put the cardboard under the chair and cut it, forming the "bottom" of the chair.
  3. We glue newspaper tubes to the cardboard form, as in the photo.
  4. Raise the racks up.
  5. Plait a row of four tubes.
  6. That's how it should turn out.
  7. Two extra tubes are hidden inside, and two more tattoos are two rows.
  8. After the fourth row, you can weave two tubes at the same time.
  9. After several rows of two tubes of trimmings again "rope"
  10. We got to the seat. Now leave the side racks and we'll take care of the seat itself - weave it with one tube.
  11. In each fifth row we leave the working tube on the right, and on the left with the reserve we add a new one. Thus, we will have side racks.
  12. Now we shave the sides of the left to the right with a "string".
  13. Tails from the seat are hidden inside, and the back is covered with a shawl of new tubes.
  14. After several rows separately we begin to weave a backrest around the whole chair.
  15. To narrow the armrest, take two racks together. Then you can cut off one of them so that it does not spoil the view.
  16. To make the weave look neater and it was faster, you can weave several rows at once.
  17. We reached the armrests, now we'll work with the back of the chair. Start on the left, and cut off excess. The ends are glued to the back.
  18. On the inside, you have to reduce the width of the back.
  19. On the armrest, add two bent tubes. Shave in a circle, bending the right working tube under the first right-hand post.
  20. It should look like this. The ends are cut off and pasted.
  21. Next, you need to cover the arches of the armrests and backrests. Shave the upper part until the lower and upper posts do not converge. We bend the edges, we cut off excess struts.
  22. This is the chair we got from a conventional plastic chair.
  23. Now we paint it with stain, and then we cover with varnish. To make restoration of wicker from newspapers of furniture it is simple, thanks to cheapness of a material and simplicity of a technique of weaving.
