It's so nice to get together by the whole family at one big kitchen table to have dinner or celebrate a family celebration. Today we offer a lot of modern materials for the manufacture of tables - metal, impact-resistant glass. And yet the tree is a classic option, win-win in any situation.
The table from solid wood looks solid and natural. He gives incomparable with nothing the comfort and warmth of the home atmosphere. The presence of such furniture in the house means not only the adherence to traditions, but also the excellent taste of the owner of the dwelling. However, buying it will be quite expensive. If you want, you can always make a kitchen table from wood with your own hands.

To make a table of wood with your own hands, you will need such materials and tools:
- feet-balusters in height of 73 sm, not too thin - 4 pieces;
- Dry edging boards 1 m long - 4 pcs. (the width of the table top will be 60 cm);
- for a frame of a board 80 cm long and 40 cm - 2 pieces each;

- self-tapping screws - 30 mm;

We need boards from coniferous species and preferably pine. They are easy to handle and are great for such purposes as making home furniture.
First we need to make a countertop . For this, we customize our 4 boards for the same length and width. Then carefully grind them with a plane - the quality of these works will determine the degree of smoothness of the countertop. Well handle also the edges - the boards should be as close as possible to each other.
We join the boards with glue and dowels (choppers). On the edges of all 4 boards, make notes at a distance of 10-15 cm and drill holes into drill holes with a drill and drill bit 8 mm.
Next, sand the edges and apply carpentry glue to the holes made. We drive glued chops and connect all 4 boards in turn. All the excess glue is removed by sandpaper, we grind the table top. And at this stage our table top is ready.

We pass to the fastening of the legs and the manufacture of the base. We fasten the balusters with short transverse boards with glue and screws. Note that the adhesive dries for at least 12 hours.

Now we fasten pairs of legs with long crossbars. This stage of work is similar to the previous one: we mount the fastener to glue and screws. Another option is to fasten the balusters and cross-members using dowels on the glue. To do this, we smear the ends and holes, as well as the dowels themselves with glue, connect them and tap them with a hammer, and remove excess glue by nesting. We fix the whole structure firmly with clamps and allow the glue to dry for 12 hours.
It remains to attach the base of the table to the table top. For the reliability of the structure, fix the countertop with two cross bars.

A table of wood with your own hands is almost ready. It remains only to process it.
To do this, we paint it with stain, varnish or dye, pretreated with a primer. You can paint in any color, based on personal preferences and the color of the rest of the situation.
