In 1881, he decided to build a residence on the sea coast in Viña del Mar. To start construction work, a special permit was required, which Wulff received in 1904. For the construction, a place was allocated on the rock, which was located between the estuary of the Estero Marga Marga and Caleta Abarca. The building was two stories high and was erected in 1906.

Wulf Castle - description

The basis for the construction of the structure was taken by German and French styles, the castle resembles the ancient mansions of Liechtenstein. For the foundation stone was used, and for the towers in the number of three pieces - a tree.

In 1910, the owner of the castle, Wolfe, commissioned the architect Alberto Cruz Mont about the reconstruction of the building, as a result of which it was faced with a brick. In 1919, the castle was completed with a tower, which is located above the precipice. The final reconstruction was carried out in 1920, the window openings were enlarged, and a bridge connecting the main building and the round tower was built. As a material for the construction of the bridge, thick glass was used, this created a tremendous effect - you can observe the surf directly under your feet.

In 1946, Woolf died, and the castle bequeathed to Mrs. Hope Artaz, who was given permission to make a hotel out of the castle and sell it to the municipality of Viña del Mar. Following the change of the owner of the castle, his new reconstruction followed, two of the three towers were removed to expand the main entrance. In the ownership of the city municipality the castle passed in 1959. In 1995 he received the title of National Historical Monument. Currently, on the ground floor of the building is a museum, which presents works by contemporary artists and sculptors.
