Adrian Brody presented a series of his paintings at an exhibition in New York

The fact that Adrian Brody is a talented actor is known to very many and quite a long time, but the fact that he is also a successful artist is not known to many. In one of his interviews, he admitted that since childhood he is very fond of drawing, but because of the profession of the actor, he was not able to enjoy fully this occupation. However, at 43, Adrian decided to pick up the brushes again and the other day opened the second exhibition, where he presented his works.

The exhibition is held with great success

At the exhibition Artexpo, which is now held in New York, exhibited more than 1200 artists from 50 countries, but most people gather near the stand SP20. It was there that Brodie posted his works. Different fish on bright backgrounds, mermaids, cans and labels - all this can be seen in the works of the actor and, now, of the artist. They are somewhat reminiscent of Andy Warhol's paintings, although his teacher, Andrew considers Domingo Zapata, the Spanish neo-expressionist. It was he who helped the actor to open his first exhibition in Miami. In New York to organize such an event Brody helped parents. They always supported the actor not only in cinematography, but also in the desire of his son to draw. And this is not surprising, because parents also belong to the world of beauty: the mother of the actor - a famous photographer, and the father - an artist.

Adrian Brody told a little about his work

To meet the first visitors at the exhibition, the actor decided to dress in a white kimono dressing gown and tied his hair with an elastic band, because that's how he works. "All this I put on myself and go to create. I can draw very long, for hours, all night. Then go to bed, and in the morning immediately run to their work, finish the last smears. And only after everything is finished, I can drink coffee and eat, "Brody began to tell. "All these characters: people with fish tails, mermaids, cans - all this came to me in a dream. So I woke up and immediately realized that I would write. The plot of these "underwater" paintings is not so fantastic, as real. True ... apocalyptic. In general, I really like fish. You know, because it is perfect in its form. True, I'm more interested in rare species that live in the most hidden corners of the oceans. I would really like to see them, consider their color. It seems to me that with them you can draw a parallel with the power of the human spirit, which wins in the darkest hour, "- a little translated the spirit of Andrew. However, he went on to say that he is very concerned about ecology, and all the emissions to the seas and rivers are terrible. "Paper cups, which are in the pictures - it is a symbol of the culture of consumption and at the same time the destruction of the aquatic environment. We ourselves destroy our ecology, regardless of whether we like it or not. Unfortunately, this can not be stopped, "Adrien Brody concluded his interview.
