Sihanoukville International Airport

The last airport of the kingdom is called Sihanoukville . Just like in the case of the first two, a name was presented to him by one of the cities of Cambodia. There is this airport and another name - Kangkeng. The runway Sihanoukville was built in the 1960s with the support of the USSR, but for many years was inactive. The official opening of the airport took place in 2007. Then the runway was extended. But the work of the airport was stopped by the An-24 disaster, which occurred near Sihanoukville. Since 2011, the work of this airport is gradually resuming. At the moment, about 45 thousand passengers pass through Sihanoukville every year.
