Among the finishing materials, relatively recently appeared on the construction market, such a variety as an artificial stone quickly gained popularity. This is due primarily to the fact that, having a significantly lower price compared to natural stone, the artificial stone is not inferior to its natural counterparts in its performance properties, and even sometimes surpasses its decorative properties. Artificial stone for wall decoration
This type of finishing material is made from a cement-sand mixture. In order to improve the performance of the final product (artificial stone), polymeric binders are added to the base mass in the form of various polymer concrete and resins, and various dyes are introduced to achieve a certain external decorative effect. Also, in order to increase the strength of the material, to reduce its moisture permeability, to exclude the possibility of chips and cracks that may arise during the laying of the stone or under the influence of external unfavorable factors, fibrous fiber is additionally introduced into the molding mass. Artificial stone, as a commodity in a construction shop, is a tile of different sizes, the front part of which imitates a particular natural stone, and the front part has a smooth surface.

In the field of application, an artificial stone can be divided into two types - for interior and exterior decoration of walls. The stone for exterior decoration, in turn, is divided into subspecies (very conditional) - for the decoration of the walls and for finishing the plinth. Artificial stone for finishing the outer walls is somewhat thicker than the stone for interior decoration and it may include polymers, whose presence in interior decoration materials is not allowed in view of their toxicity.
