But not only does this make Rhodes famous and popular. The magnificent sandy and pebble beaches of Rhodes attract tourists from all over the world. This is a refutation for those who consider Rhodes unsuitable for beach holidays because of their rocky terrain.

Beaches of Rhodes

The location of the island, washed by the two seas, led to the fact that the beaches on it are divided into northwest - washed by the Aegean Sea, and the southeast - those that are washed by the Mediterranean Sea. On the coast of the Aegean Sea there is always windy weather and the sea is never quiet and calm. Therefore, on the island of Rhodes, the beaches that are located in the north-west, have suited the windsurfers. But those beaches that are located in the south-east, have a habitual beach rest. Compared to the Aegean, the Mediterranean Sea is colder, but on this side of the island there are sandy beaches.
