Making jewelry with your own hands is an exciting and creative process that will be of interest to both adults and children. In the article you will learn how to make beads from paper with your own hands.

This method of making beads for jewelry is quite simple, but it is perfect for individual and group classes with creativity with children.

Master class for making beads from colored paper

It will take:

1. colored two-sided paper or colored pages from magazines;
2. pencil;
3. ruler;
4. scissors;
5. adhesive PVA, glue for decoupage and brush;
6. clear nail polish;
7. Knitting needles or wooden skewers;
8. a large needle with a thick eye;
9. locks, fishing line (ribbon), beads and other details for beads.

1. Determine what shape and how many beads must be made for your beads. Choose from the proposed templates that are suitable for you. The length of the workpiece will give the thickness of the bead, and the width of the strip - the length. It is optimal to cut the paper with strips measuring approximately 30x2 cm.
2. Draw a sheet of the selected template. If you are making round or long beads, then you will almost never have any waste with the lining, because they use a strip with the shape of a long isosceles triangle. A bead will depend only on the width of the base.
3. We cut the workpieces.
4. On the spoke (skewer) of the chosen thickness, starting from the wide end, we wind up a strip of paper, sometimes smearing with glue.
5. The end is lubricated with glue, wrapped and held to adhere.
6. Top with a layer of glue for decoupage and leave to dry for 6-8 hours.
7. Cover the beads with two more layers of varnish and let dry, if desired, you can sprinkle glitter between the layers of varnish.
8. We remove our beads from the knitting needles (skewers).
9. On the line we string beads of different sizes, combining them with beads. Attach, if necessary, a lock.
