The history of Biedermeier's hairstyle
Ludwig Eichrodt's poem, entitled "The Songs of Biedermeier", which appeared in the beginning of the 19th century in Vienna, became the name of an artistic style that reigned both in the interior and in fashion. The name of the hero has become synonymous with words such as wealth, luxury, cunning and savvy.
This style did not last long, but its elements are still today. For example, exquisite evening dresses with a narrow waist and wide sleeves in the shoulder area. Traditional complex designs on the head in the style of Biedermeier can be found both at weddings and at other solemn events.
Biedermeier style in hairstyles
A huge number of ringlets of different shapes is the main feature of such hairstyles. Women lacked their hair for such marvelous structures on their heads, so they began using artificial curls. The main feature of this hairstyle was parting. Hair descended on the temples and twisted, then they were pierced with long hairpins on the top or back of the head. Biedermeier's hair was adorned with jewels, feathers, ribbons, bows, strings of pearls and flowers.
But the most popular decoration was a ferronier - it's an expensive and elegant hoop, which was worn on the forehead. Its main adornment was colored precious stones, as well as gold or silver chains.
Biedermeier style taught women to love romance and sophistication. It is clear that this style is not relevant in the modern world, but its echoes for a long time will be present in the fashion world.
