Blue contact lenses on brown eyes
Change the color of light eyes with contact lenses is easy enough, but changing the brown color to blue is more problematic. Lenses that change the color of the eyes are divided into color and tone:
Tinted lenses allow you to change the color of only very light eyes, and are usually designed to make it brighter and more saturated. If you put blue lenses on your brown eyes, their color will change slightly, and an unnatural shade may appear.
Color lenses allow you to change the color of the eyes from the brown to the desired blue hue. Such lenses are so saturated that they completely hide the true color of the eyes.
How do the blue lenses look on the brown eyes?
To achieve that the blue lenses naturally looked at the brown eyes, it is quite difficult:
- The darker the eyes, the more intense the shade of the lenses is required to cover the original color.
- The diameter of the lens should match the diameter of the iris or overlap it, otherwise a dark rim will be visible from the outside.
- Since the colored lenses are almost opaque (except for the pupil area), they completely hide the iris, so just plain blue lenses on brown eyes look unnatural. For wearing it is desirable to select lenses with a pattern that mimics the natural pattern of the iris. Such lenses are more expensive, but they look most natural.
- Since the human pupil expands and contracts, depending on the illumination, in a very bright light around the pupil, a brown bezel can be seen. In poor light, blue colored lenses on brown eyes are likely to be invisible.
Features of choosing and wearing colored lenses

Apply makeup preferably after the lenses are put on: this will avoid getting into the eye of its particles, as well as make up according to the color of the eyes.
