Castor oil for eyelash growth

If you notice that your eyelashes become less frequent, grow slowly, break down and fall out, then they need special care. Deterioration of the state of the eyelashes is most often due to the influence of various unfavorable factors: the constant use of cosmetics, dyeing, curling, false eyelashes, natural factors (frost, ultraviolet radiation), etc. Also, problems with eyelashes can occur due to certain diseases, lack of vitamins and minerals.

One of the simplest and most accessible, at the same time very effective means for growth, strengthening and restoration of eyelashes is castor oil , which has long been used in cosmetology. This oil is also used to care for the face and body skin, for hair, nails, eyebrows, but we will dwell on its application for the healing of eyelashes.

Castor oil for eyelashes - benefit and application

Today on sale there is a castor oil specially intended for strengthening of eyelashes, with addition of various nutrients and vitamins. It is poured into convenient flasks with brushes, which greatly facilitates the use. However, an entirely identical, but more economically advantageous option, is the use of castor oil purchased from a pharmacy.

It is best to purchase a well-purified castor oil, which is easily identified by a pale yellow color. For application, you can use a brush from an old carcass, thoroughly washing it in hot water with soap and drying it.

Eyelashes after castor oil become stronger, their growth improves, they thicken and even slightly elongate. Due to the fact that the effect of this agent contributes to the activation of sleeping bulbs, over time, the density of eyelashes increases markedly.

Castor oil can be applied to the eyelashes in undiluted form or mixed with other components that will enhance and supplement its effect. If you decide to use castor oil to improve the condition of eyelashes in its pure form, use the following guidelines:

  1. Before use, the oil should be slightly heated - in a water bath or simply dropping the bottle with the product for several minutes in warm water.
  2. To avoid getting the product in the eyes, you can smear eyelashes with castor oil, tilting the head forward so that the face is parallel to the floor.
  3. Castor oil is applied to the cleaned dry eyelashes with a thin layer using a brush, starting from the middle of the hairs to the tips.
  4. The product should be kept for at least 20 minutes. As a rule, for maximum effect it is maintained for about 1 - 2 hours or until uncomfortable sensations appear (burning, itching, etc.).
  5. Remove oil with a cotton swab, and if necessary, use a gel for washing.
  6. Treatment procedures should be performed daily (preferably in the evening) for two months, after which to take a break in 3 to 4 weeks and again to repeat the course.
