Cognillions in intimate places

All diseases "in a female way" are more or less dangerous, since they can threaten the basic function of women - procreation. Some of them are accompanied by acute symptoms, while others can not be manifested at all. That is why it is so important for every woman to undergo regular checkups at a gynecologist.

Condylomata in intimate places - one of the diseases that can cause women a lot of trouble. Condylomas are genital warts that appear on the genitals (in the vagina, on the labia, in the perineum and the anus). They usually have a solid or reddish tinge. A special feature of genital warts is that, growing larger, they can unite among themselves in entire colonies of warts.

The main reason for the appearance of genital warts in women is the ingress of the virus during sexual contact with its carrier. Here it should be noted that even the barrier method of contraception does not prevent infection with condylomas, since the viruses are so small that they penetrate through the latex without problems. Having infected and becoming a carrier of the virus with condylomas, a woman may not notice this, since the disease usually begins to develop only under favorable conditions, namely, with a decrease in immunity. Recently, there are a lot of patients with this diagnosis, because the ecological situation, as well as frequent stresses, lack of sleep, avitaminosis, promiscuous sex life and other factors contribute to a decrease in immunity in many women.

In addition, the baby who passes through the mother's birth can also become infected with condylomata. At the same time, if genital warts are not located in the vagina, but, for example, on the labia or in the anus, then there is no risk for the newborn.

Symptoms of genital warts in women

Caring for her body, a woman can not help noticing the appearance of these pointed warts. As a rule, condylomas in women look unaesthetic and can bring psychological discomfort. They usually do not interfere with the sex life.

If the condylomas are located around the anus, it can cause burning and discomfort, and numerous large condylomas, it happens, produce a liquid with an unpleasant odor. Warts of especially large size can even cover the entrance to the vagina.

There are also flat warts, which are usually located on the cervix. Their danger lies in the fact that such condylomas are not visible to the naked eye and are diagnosed only by a special method with a full gynecological examination. At the same time, they are not as harmless as genital warts, and can lead to cervical cancer.

Genital warts in women - treatment

There are two main methods for treating genital warts in women.

  1. The chemical method is the "burning" of warts with chemically active substances, such as solcoderm, solkagin, condylin and ointment bonaffton. This is a local treatment, during which the areas of the body covered with condylomas are lubricated with the medicine, resulting in warts drying up and tearing away, leaving a healthy skin or mucous. The treatment is done on an outpatient basis, it is safe and absolutely painless.
  2. The destructive method of treating genital warts is exposure to them by physical factors, such as laser, electricity, low temperature or radio waves. When destructive cells are used, condylomas are destroyed, a crust (a so-called scab) is formed in their place, which disappears after a while. The choice of the treatment method (surgitron apparatus, laser coagulation, the use of liquid nitrogen or the radio wave method) depends on the type, shape and size of the condylomas, as well as their location.
