Since Germany is one of the most visited by foreigners, many travel agencies have in their arsenal vouchers with various programs, conditions and period of stay in the country. In this case, most companies offer to issue a visa for you. You will not need to go through the offices with a folder of documents, stand in lines - spend time and nerves, but for this service the agencies ask for money. Tourists who do not want to spend additional funds or have the time, as well as strong nerves, collect documents for issuing a visa to Germany on their own. In order to do this correctly and not to miss anything, it is necessary to know which documents are needed.

First of all, we note that a visa to Germany can be of two types:

  1. Schengen.
  2. National .

What's the difference? If you personally apply for a visa to Germany, then it must be a national category D, and if you make it through intermediaries (for example, a travel agency) - the Schengen category C.

For registration of any type of visa to Germany, there is a single list of documents for all countries:

  1. Passport . It must have a minimum of two blank pages, and it is also necessary that its validity before visiting Germany is not more than ten years and after a visit - not less than three months.
  2. Photocopy of the internal passport .
  3. Medical insurance , the size of which must be at least 30 000 USD.
  4. Visa application form . In case the main or only country of the trip is Germany, then the German embassy issues a questionnaire, which must be printed from the website or can be obtained directly from the embassy itself. It is important: the questionnaire must be filled in with your own hand, and the name with the surname should be written in Latin letters - similarly as in the passport.
  5. Two photos . They should be done the day before and at a rate of 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm.
  6. References from work . It can also be documents that could confirm that you have enough money to find in the territory of Germany with the calculation of 45 cu. per day per person. Such documents can include: an extract from the bank about the state of the account or cash flow on the credit account for the last three months, a certificate of currency purchase and so on.

If you have agreed to the services of a travel agency and will transfer them the necessary documents for the processing of a tourist visa to Germany, then you need to collect the following package:

  1. Passport (with the same validity period as for personal registration).
  2. Two photos.
  3. Copies of all pages of the civil passport.
  4. Certificate from the place of work. It should indicate your position and salary.
  5. Visa application form.
  6. A statement with your signature confirming that you have provided genuine information about yourself.
  7. A copy of the document on the property.
  8. An extract from a bank account or any other document confirming that you can keep yourself in the territory of the state.
  9. Written consent to the processing of personal data.

If you are a pensioner, then you should provide the original and a copy of the pension certificate, a student or student - a certificate from the place of training. In both cases it is necessary to provide a certificate from the place of work with the position and salary of the person who pays you a trip.

Minor citizens need permission to leave, which, without fail, must be either in German or in English.
