Facade facing brick

The modern market of facing materials is oversaturated with their various kinds. And among all this variety, a special place is occupied by a facade clinker or clinker brick, as it is also called. This material is becoming increasingly popular due to its excellent aesthetic and strength properties.

For the production of clinker bricks, a special refractory clay is used which, during baking at elevated temperatures, turns into a durable material of a wide variety of shades.

The surface of this facing brick can be smooth and corrugated. The relief on the bricks is met with a geometric pattern or the surface of the brick is made uneven and rough. In addition, facing brick happens with impregnations of quartz sand or mineral crumb.

Advantages of facade decorative brick

The technology of making facade decorative bricks gives it special strength. This environmentally friendly material is not afraid of either high humidity or various adverse weather conditions.

Another property that distinguishes clinker brick among other facing materials is excellent frost resistance. Such a brick is able to withstand up to 300 cycles of freezing and defrosting, while its basic properties are not violated at all. Therefore, the walls of the building, lined with a facade decorative brick, will serve for a very long time regardless of climatic and weather conditions.

There are facade bricks and flaws. Firstly, this material has a high thermal conductivity, so it is not very suitable for building insulation. Secondly, clinker bricks have enough weight and work with it is quite laborious. In addition, this material is expensive, and not every owner can afford such a facade cladding with a decorative brick.
