Metal partitions

Each of us wants to have his own private space in an apartment or house. But in large families this can be a problem. In this case, the optimal option may be metal partitions , with which each person, if necessary, has the opportunity to retire. Such metal partitions can be either sliding or stationary decorative, and they can be installed in the corridor or bedroom , kitchen or living room. The term "metal partitions" refers to partitions having a steel frame lined with various materials, most often gypsum boards or wood boards. Let's look at how to make metal partitions in a room.

How to make metal partitions with your own hands?

  1. For work we need a metal profile, scissors for metal, screws, roulette, plumb, level. First you need to mark the place for mounting the metal structure. Use a plumb, tape measure and chalk to mark the lines.
  2. First, on the marked lines set the metal profile on the floor. Then, taking a bar equal in width to the profile, mark the places where vertical profiles will have to be fixed.
  3. We fix the profile to the ceiling.
  4. Now attach the vertical metal profile using the level. We use for this purpose special clamps.
  5. Between the vertical metal profiles we fix horizontal or wooden bars as shown in the picture,
  6. If desired, you can attach plywood or wooden bars to the bottom of the metal frame, to which later it will be easier to fasten the skirting board.
  7. To mount the wiring inside the metal frame, make holes in the profiles into which we insert special bushings to prevent damage to the wiring.
  8. We trim the metal frame of our partition with wooden or plasterboard sheets.
