- Calendar method . Then it is necessary to take the difference between the longest and the shortest cycle (but after counting from them for 14 days). For example, the last six cycles were duration 27, 29, 30, 28, 27 and 30 days. We consider: 30-14 = 16 (ovulation occurred on day 16) and 27-14 = 13 (ovulation occurred on day 13). Measure the temperature always at the same time and keep the thermometer at least five minutes.
