So, let's get to work. First you need to select the material. Determine the texture, color, length and width of the panels. Note that the plastic panels of neutral and light colors do not irritate the eye and visually raise the ceiling.
For installation, you will need: plastic corners and panels, ceiling rack profile, guiding profile, straight hangers, perforator, screwdriver, electric jigsaw, screws, metal scissors and "liquid nails".
Starting the installation of the suspended ceiling from the panels, we measure the height of the room and choose an angle with a smaller height. After that, we proceed to the manufacture of metal frame (ceiling laths). It is not difficult to do this, it usually uses a metal profile, the same as for drywall. Having finished preliminary works, we pass to a covering of a ceiling. We mark the desired length on the panel, cut it with an electric jigsaw. Panels are fixed in places of their contact with the elements of the metal frame. It remains to attach the lamps and the ceiling is ready.
Covering the ceiling with aluminum panels
Ceiling aluminum panels because of its high cost are not very popular in the domestic market, although they have a lot of advantages, such as strength, resistance to adverse conditions and durability.
Aluminum panels on the ceiling are rack and cassette. In addition, there are more complex systems - lattice ceilings with different visual effects, the effect of blinds, the effect of perspective, multi-level ceilings .
Aluminum panels have different color solutions. They can also be mirrored, with a metallic effect (gold or chromium). Since the ceiling can be assembled from different racks and cassettes, it is possible to embody any design ideas.
The installation of aluminum ceilings begins with the installation of a suspended system, which includes guide profiles, angular profile and suspensions. First, along the entire length of the walls we fix the angle profile (do not forget to maintain the horizontal level). He will determine the height of the ceiling.
After that, we hang the guides, to which the ceiling covering will be fixed. Looking at what type of ceiling you have chosen, you may need the main longitudinal profiles, and additional transverse profiles. The main ones are suspended to the ceiling, and the transverse ones are joined to them by means of special locks. Installation of the basic guides is carried out with the help of hangers. These are special hooks, fastened to the ceiling. They are equipped with a mechanism that allows you to adjust their length. Thus, after assembly, you can align the height of the entire system.
At the final stage, the ceiling is assembled and the luminaires are installed. Additional fastening is not required. Panels, using the grooves provided by the design, are mounted to the guide profiles.
This method of installation is basic, however, not the only one because of the variety of ceilings, features of the room and design developments.
