How correctly to cut a dracaena?

Pruning is carried out with a sharp knife. The trunk is cut at the place where it is planned to get the branching of the plant. At 10 cm below the cutoff level, cut all the leaves. After this place cut must be decontaminated with crushed activated carbon or molten paraffin. In doing so, try to ensure that all pores on the trunk are closed.

After trimming, it is recommended to spray the dracaena trunk twice a day to avoid excessive loss of moisture by the plant. The cut can be wrapped with wet sphagnum moss, and put a plastic bag on top. The container with the flower should be placed in a warm and dark place without drafts, which Drazena does not like.
