The ottoman is an amazingly sweet, and sometimes irreplaceable, detail of the interior. However, often the obstacle to the purchase of such a product is its price or the discrepancy between the colors offered by the manufacturer and our wishes. It's not worth to get upset, because there are lots of ways to build a puff with your own hands. To do this, you do not need to be a master of furniture assembly, enough to be friends with a sewing machine or be able to sew by hand.
The design of the puff described below allows the use of the brightest shades of fabric, take material with an unusual pattern and any quality. Cotton is the ideal option, but variations are permissible. In order to sew a chair-pouf with your own hands, you need to stock up the following:
- fabric of 12 different shades (or as many as required by the idea);
- meter muslin;
- filler at your discretion;
- Needles, threads, pins, sewing machine (or deft hands).

- Using graphic programs or drawing skills, the pattern of the elements of the product is made, which is a triangle with cut lower edges. The dimensions of the sides and the base are adjustable as desired.
- The sketch is transferred to the fabric and two pieces of each color are cut out. As a result, there must be 24 elements. Of the muslin, you also need to cut out the wedges that match the pattern. They will then be placed under the main fabric, preventing stretching.
- Before beginning the connection of the first two wedges, it is necessary to fold them like a sandwich: a muslin fabric-muslin fabric and sew, making sure before that that the fabric is correctly positioned relative to each other and fixing everything with pins.
- Sew should be started from the wide side and not slightly sewn up to the edge.
- All this must be done with all available fragments, simultaneously ironing the place of joints with iron. The resulting circle should have a hole in the middle.
- To make the second circle identical to the first one, you need to take care of the correct arrangement of colors. We do the same manipulations with muslin and "sandwich", we sew wedges.
- Now to finish the soft pouf with your own hands, you need to sew the two halves from the wrong side and fill it with filler.
- Then, using a thick needle, through the left holes, a fishing line is passed and with its help bright large buttons are fixed.
