It's no secret that the process of preparing for childbirth is quite labor-intensive. One should at least recall the entire list of necessary things that should be taken with them to the hospital. To simplify this task a little, midwife kits were created.
What is a midwifery kit for?
The midwifery kit for maternity is a convenient and simple method of ensuring hygiene standards during childbirth. Using an individual sterile kit can reduce the risk of developing surgical infections. The main function of a one-time obstetric kit for delivery is to maintain sterility during delivery. - Umbilical clamp.
- Three napkins.
All this is decorated in a sterile package. Variations of sets are many. But not all sets correspond to the above configuration. Some types of disposable obstetric kit consist only of clothes, that is, in the presence of a cap, shirt and high shoe covers. The structure of others includes a diaper and sheets. Also there are obstetric kits, in which there is additionally a protective apron for the obstetrician.
Cesarean section
The obstetric set for caesarean section differs from the usual set for parturient women in that it contains a sheet with a cutout opening the operating field. Thanks to the coating, the firm application of the sheet is ensured, which allows to limit the operating field and prevent its displacement. Also its plus is the presence of a pocket with a special tap, into which liquid is collected. In this case, the liquid is easily removed without causing deformation and movement of the sheet. And this is very important during the operative intervention.
