Indie Style

Style indie appeared in England somewhere in the 80 years of the last century. Then there was a musical direction, which in English means independent rock. Indy is a youth movement, or a subculture that seeks independence. Along with new music, this trend brought with it a new style of dress.

Indie style in clothes does not provide for any restrictions. There is complete freedom, because the main motto of this style is simplicity and convenience. Wealth, comfort, luxury and brand clothing for them are not a value. Instead of expensive brand clothes, they buy things from low-budget brands, among them Pull & Bear or TopShop, H & M or NewYorker. First of all, indie-kiddies are striving for self-expression, and this is also manifested in clothing. Indi-kidov can be determined by some characteristic attributes:

  1. They are very fond of old and vintage things. It can be like an old-fashioned grandmother's scarf with an unusual ornament or a simple T-shirt with the image of Ernesto Che Guevara, narrow striped trousers or a short dress with polka dots.
  2. Things should be very bright and catchy. Rich colors and colorful prints are skillfully combined with monophonic things. If it's jeans, then they should be worn and slightly worn out.
  3. In the wardrobe of any indie-kit must be present such accessories as scarves, arafatki, unusual and bright scarves, hats, large glasses, bags made from a leather substitute or eco-bags.
  4. The followers of this subculture have their own particular rule - no rules.

A girl in indie style, taking a dress from a vintage grandmother's chest in a flower or peas, wearing a disheveled hair with a hat, and on her neck a light shiny headscarf, will look very cute and romantic.

To date, indie rock is very popular. Fans of this style prefer soft and retrospective music to alternative rock, melancholic ballads that do not cause aggression, for example the American band The Shins, British Coldplay or Snow Patrol.
