Lake Enya

Myanmar (Burma) is a state in the south-eastern part of Asia, located in the western part of Indochina. The city of Yangon - the former capital of the state, which is the most important educational, cultural and economic center of the country, it is also called "the city - the Garden of the East". Ten kilometers from the center is a large lake called Inya, or Inya Lake. Englishmen in colonial times called him still Victoria.

The pond is artificial, it was created by the British in 1883, who believed that it was necessary to provide the city with water. During the monsoon winds, the builders connected several streams, surrounded by hills, to each other. And with the help of a series of pipes, the water from Lake Inya is redistributed to Lake Kandawgy.

What is famous for Lake Inya?

The forest park area around Inya Lake occupies about fifteen hectares and is a square shape. The picturesque nature and clear water made it a great place to relax. Here students come to meet, couples are hanging out, tourists are resting, children are entertained.
