Sewing a leather bag with your own hands is certainly not easy, primarily because the skin is a very specific material, requiring some effort in processing. We, in turn, offer you a simple step-by-step guide how to sew a leather bag with which you can easily cope with the task.

1. The size of the parts is determined by the size of the bag We take three rectangles of black skin of approximately the same size, sew them together, attaching each other face.
2. Bottom edge we turn inside by 1 cm, similarly we turn a strip of light skin, we spend, we fold the details face to face. The back of the bag is ready.
3. Similarly, make the front part, and on top we sew a pocket of light skin, pre-bending the ends inside (2).
4. We make handles for a bag of light skin. Inside, we put a nylon cord, 0.5 cm thick for strength. We spend on a sewing machine with a roller foot.
5. Cut out the light skin of the lining, which will help fix the handles and hide the seam. We sew the handles, and on the top - the lining.
6. From the thick black skin, we cut the bottom of the bag. So that it does not sag, you can glue it in two layers.
7. Bend the edge of the bottom and a light strip of skin at the bottom of the bag and sew on the length of the part.
8. We repeat the same operation with the second side. Thus, all 3 main parts of the bag are connected.
9. We fold the bag face-down inside and spread out all the lateral joints.
10. We turn and spread out the bottom along the perimeter, retreating a few mm from the edge.
11. We sew the lining. In it you can sew a pocket with a zipper.
12. Sew the gasket to the inner seams of the bag.
13. We sew a zipper.
