How to install a plastic window yourself and what will help to ensure the required quality? The answer is simple - it is compliance with the generally accepted technology, which is regulated by GOST. Similar procedures are developed with a look at the multi-year practice, which excludes actions leading to negative consequences.

Below is a briefly described algorithm on how to install a plastic window.

  1. First, you need to prepare the surfaces, cleaning them with a stiff brush. If the opening has irregularities, they must be leveled using putty.
  2. Further it is recommended to treat the wall with a primer. Thus, the materials will lie better on each other.
  3. In order to properly install the window, as required by GOST, then it is necessary to prepare the frame, remove the sash. Open the window, remove the pin, which is in the upper loop and take out the leaf.
  4. After that, take the profile profile and remove it. Where the profile fits with the frame, glue the psyul. We paste back.
  5. Where the window is joined to the frame, it is also necessary to glue the pseudo. After we put in place the docking profile and again fix the poole on it.
  6. Next, you need to connect the frames together. For this we need a docking profile.
  7. As stated in the GOST, the installation of a plastic window requires that the distance between the holes for the fasteners is not more than 700 mm. And also 150-180 mm in relation to the inside corner of the frame. We select the drill bit so that its diameter is smaller than the diameter of the fixing hardware.
  8. Using a drill, make holes, then twist the frames, while using self-tapping screws.
  9. Next, you need to place the completed unit in the opening on the pads. From above and from the side we make fixation with special inflatable bags.
  10. Use the level to align the frame. Straightness of the structure is regulated by pumping or lowering air from the inflatable bags.
  11. Take a pencil and from the outside, make notes, where the glue will be glued along the entire perimeter of the window.
  12. We fix on the frame the starting profile for PVC slopes.
  13. With a shift of 5 mm, glue to the outside of the frame of the beads.
  14. In order to protect the profile from the effects of moisture, we glue the mounting vapor barrier tape around the perimeter of the structure. We put the design in the opening on the pads and finally align.
  15. Using dowels, fix the window.
  16. Next, hang the flaps back and blow out the seams with mounting foam.
  17. We set the tide.
  18. Install the windowsill.
  19. Slopes are decorated with PVC panels.
  20. The window is ready.
