The wife of the god Vishnu is Lakshmi (in translation "beauty") or as it is also called Sri (in translation "happiness"). This goddess gives people happiness , beauty and wealth. She is wearing yellow, shining clothes. Lakshmi is always with her husband. Vishnu is usually represented in two forms. On some images he stands on a lotus flower, and the spouse is next to him. In other variants, it lies on the rings of snakes among the Milk ocean, and Lakshmi makes him a foot massage. Less common are images when Vishnu is riding on the eagle Garuda, which is the king of birds.

The uniqueness of Vishnu lies in his ability to reincarnate, assuming various guises. Numerous avatars make this god universal. In India, the most revered are the following reincarnations of the Indian god Vishnu:

  1. Fish that saved Manu during the Flood.
  2. The tortoise on which Mount Madanra was set after the Flood. Due to its rotation, the Moon appeared from the ocean, a drink of immortality, etc.
  3. Boar, killing a demon and lifting the earth from the abyss.
  4. A lion man who was able to kill a demon who seized power in the world.
  5. The dwarf, who persuaded the magician, who seized the world, to leave as much space as he can measure with three steps. As a result, Vishnu took the sky and earth with two steps, and the underground kingdom left the magician.

The role of Vishnu is to restore peace in each new cycle after Shiva destroys it.
