Nung-Nung Waterfall

On the islands of Indonesia , hidden in tropical greenery, there are unique places where it is very rare to find tourists. One of these secluded corners is the Nung-Nung waterfall, located in Bali .

What is the attraction of the Nung-Nung waterfall?

This area, not spoiled by civilization, in itself favors a rest for thoughts and feelings. Some believe that Bali has waterfalls and more beautiful than Nung-Nung, but this statement can easily be challenged. The water jet falling from 25 m splits into the smallest spray in the cool lake at the bottom of the gorge. Only at the zenith, the sun is seen through thick foliage. In the rest of the time, the lake, where the stream falls, is in the shade.

After overcoming the steps and being at the bottom, many tourists swim in a wide pond, despite the fact that the water dust stings with millions of cold needles. It is also noteworthy that in the main it is completely deserted, which is surprising for such a densely populated country like Indonesia. Having much enjoyed solitude and meditation in the vicinity of the rushing waterfall, one can overcome the most difficult part of the journey - climbing upward.

How to get to the waterfall?

Due to its favorable location in the central part of the island, it is quite easy to get to the Nung-Nung waterfall. The journey takes 2-3 hours, if you leave Kuta . The most convenient way is to use the road Jalan Raja Pura Magnu. The road to the waterfall goes through wide rice terraces. The only way here is to anticipate something unusual, whipping up emotions. At the top on the mountain there is a parking lot where you can leave a bike or car. After that, for a symbolic fee of $ 2-3 a ticket is purchased and the most interesting begins.

It's not easy and amazing to descend to the waterfall. Down lead about 500 steps of different sizes, which makes the path very difficult. On all extent there are gently sloping areas where there are gazebos for rest . It is important to choose shoes with a non-slip sole so that you do not slip on damp leaves, especially after the rain.
