On the territory of the wonderful country of Argentina is a large number of reserves and parks , which give all their visitors pleasant emotions and memories. One such is the National Park of Predredta, which is located in a picturesque corner of the country.
General information
The Predredta National Park is located in the southwestern part of Argentina, in the province of Entre Ríos, on the banks of the Parana River. The nearest city to it is Diamante, located only 6 km. The reserve was founded in 1992 in order to protect the natural world of the upper reaches of this river. The area on which the park is located covers not only the shore area, but also the small islands of Parana, marshes and lagoons.
Excursion around the reserve
To conduct excursions in the park of Predredta you can walk or by boat on the channels of Parana:
- Tourists, who prefer the first option, should prepare for an unusual adventure on cable cars and walkways that are in dense thickets of forest. Guests of the park will be able to climb to the very top of the reserve - the dam, which is overgrown with huge willows and hyacinths. After the ascent, the paths will lead the travelers to the marshes, which are glorified by their giant water lilies and inhabitants: capybarans, otters, snakes, beavers and others.
- If you want to take a boat tour, then the impressions from it will be equally exciting, rather than from a hike. You will have an interesting road along the canals of the river, which densely cover the broad leaves of the water lily. Here you can see many representatives of fauna species on the shore and in the water, to estimate from an unusual perspective the flora of the reserve. Moving along the canals, you will sail to the stone-sandy islands of the river, which have long been brought by the current to this locality. This type of excursion ends with an ascent to the dam. You will have to leave your boats at the shore and climb to the top of the park, from which a stunning view of the terrain opens.
How to get there?
From Diamante, buses leave every day, stopping near the park of Predredta. You can find this transport at the city bus station from 7:00 to 21:00.
If you are traveling by car, then head along Route 11 south-west of the city.
