Let's start with vegetable physalis, which is much easier to take root in our gardens, as it is more adapted to low temperatures. This fruit has a more neutral taste than its "fruity" fellow, therefore suitable for marinating, pickling and use in savory snacks and salads.

If you decide to harvest fruits for the winter, then canning is ideal, because after the marinade the fruits begin to resemble the familiar soaked tomatoes.

Fisals fruits are covered with a rather dense skin, therefore before rolling into cans, they should be blanched for about a minute, and then make a cross-cut from one of the ends. In this form, the fruits can be laid out on clean cans and taken for cooking marinade. For the latter, you should prepare a mixture of vinegar, water, and salt, add leaves laurel, pea pepper and wait for the mixture to boil. As soon as this happens, the marinade is removed from the fire and the physalis is poured into the jars, after which the containers are immediately rolled up.

Strawberry varieties are considered dessert, have a more pronounced sweetness and are used in the preparation of desserts and cocktails. From the fruits of this variety you can prepare standard sweet winter billets: jams, jams and marmalade.
