Raspberry after harvesting

Raspberry berries are loved by many, because it is both a wonderful dessert and an effective medicine. To obtain a good harvest, it is important not only to care when planting bushes and during their growth, but also after their removal. After all, if the plant does not regain its strength, it can die in the winter, otherwise there will be few fruits and they will be small.

In this article we will consider, what it is possible to feed remontant and usual raspberries after harvesting.

Raspberries ripen in the middle of summer (July - early August). Therefore, such feeding is carried out in the usual raspberries in August - early September, for repairing varieties - September, but closer to the end of the month. This is not the last top dressing, but is considered one of the most important for harvesting the next year.

Variants of top-dressing raspberry after fruiting

  1. Ammonium nitrate . Spill around each plant at a rate of 12 g of substance per 1 m & sup2.
  2. Superphosphate and potassium salt . We take each drug for 1 tablespoon, mix and scatter under each bush.
  3. Organic fertilizers : compost, manure, humus. Introduced as mulch. To do this, ground around the bushes are covered with a layer of 7 cm, and then sprinkled with earth (the thickness should be approximately 2 cm). This delays the growth of weeds in the area with raspberries and will hold up nitrogen until the spring.
  4. Integrated . Dissolve 10 liters of water 2 tablespoons of potassium-containing drug (sulfate or chloride). We make trenches between rows, fill them with wood ash (1 glass per 1 m) and then watered the resulting solution, at the rate of 6-8 liters of solution per 1 m of ditch.

Before you begin the fall of raspberry dressing, it should be pruned, loosen the soil and water it well (about 1 bucket under the bush).

If you want to get a good harvest of large berries, then the feeding of raspberries after harvesting should be carried out annually.
