You need to thoroughly wet the ceiling, then take a spatula and clean the whitewash, plaster or wallpaper right up to the concrete. Having found a layer of old putty, be sure to check it for strength. We leave it in place, if it does not crumble and does not chip. If the ceiling is painted with water-based paint or oil paint, it is recommended to buy the impregnating agent, after which the surface will be easily cleaned. - plaster has a large mass, reduces the useful height of the room by several cm, its advantage in simplicity and ease of alignment;

After major repairs or if there is no need for this, the ceiling is ready for cosmetic work. It can be:
- Painting . The coloring composition will lie better on a flat surface. Therefore, after the plaster or putty, do not forget to polish the ceiling with sandpaper. Then proceed to priming. When the primer dries, you can paint the ceiling . The process of dyeing is simple, it is recommended to start from the edges that paint with a brush. The rest of the area is roller.
