A hair's breadth from death

When all the most dangerous was left behind, 70-year-old Ronnie Wood wanted to tell about his fans' experiences, giving an exclusive interview to one of the British publications. The musician admitted that in May, during a planned medical examination, his doctor insisted on chest x-ray, which he did last time in 2002, after which Ronnie learned that he had cancer.

The incident was known only to the young wife of Ronnie, 39-year-old Sally Humphries.

By the way, according to the celebrity, he expected such a disease, because he did not release a cigarette from his mouth for 50 years, having abandoned the addiction two years ago.

The cancer was in his lungs, and Wood decided to give up chemotherapy if the harmful cells gave metastases. The week, during which doctors carefully examined the stellar patient, became the longest in his life. His wife tried to persuade Ronnie to change his mind, and he laughed off, saying that he was not going to lose his thick hair. Fortunately, oncologists stated that in his case, only an operation would be needed.
