Description of Fort Rustak

The fortress is located in the homonymous city in the province of Batinah. It was built in 1250, but it was rebuilt all the time and was reconstructed to the present state in the 16th century.

Rustak is an impressive three-story building with four towers:

The largest tower has a height of 18.5 m, its diameter is 6 m. Visitors at the entrance are greeted by heavy fortified doors and guns. The thickness of the walls of the fortress is at least 3 m, they are smoothly plastered and cool to the touch. The noise of the outside world is not audible here. On the territory of the fort there are separate houses, an armory yard, a prison and a mosque. The fortress has its own water supply system - Falaj.

From the parapet of the fort there is a wonderful panoramic view. The color palette ranges from dark green to chocolate brown. The mountains are beautifully contrasted with lighter shades of the soil and palm trees.
