Screed on the wooden floor

If there is a wooden floor in the house or apartment, do not rush to remove the boards that did not satisfy you. Correct irregularities and roughness can be done with a screed. Screed floor in a wooden house is done when the wooden base is not rotten and is strong enough. Otherwise, the entire screed may be destroyed and deformed at the end of the work.

How to make a wooden floor screed?

In order for this process to end successfully and bring the expected result, it is necessary to use quality blends that quickly solidify. Screed on the wooden floor is often done with a layer of 10 mm and checked for 28 days.

To get the best result, you need to follow several rules and work stages. First of all, prepare the foundation. The rotten or weak top layer is best removed. All irregularities before the start of work should be ironed with cement. When making ties on a wooden floor, it is necessary to replace old rotten boards with new ones. In this case, all skirting boards are also removed. In their place, it is necessary to nail more thin boards, which will hide the cracks between the wall and the floor.

The next step will be priming. This is necessary for better spreading of the mixture. Reinforcement of the substrate is necessary for the strength of the applied layer. Clogging the clamps, it is very important to take into account the clogging force in the surface. The next steps will be kneading and directly pouring the screed onto the wooden floor. Apply a special spatula to dare. It is important that during this phase, work on the surface does not stop until a complete alignment is achieved. If necessary, then after hardening, this surface can be ground. It's worth doing 6-7 hours after pouring. The last stage will be sealing joints and cleaning tools.
