Sheep with her own hands

The main annual holiday - the New Year - inexorably approaches. And the next, 2015 is the year of the cute fluffy lamb. Many seek to decorate their house on the eve of the holiday with this symbol. And it's very cool if there is a desire and an opportunity to create these wonderful images yourself, attracting your children to interesting work.

In this article we will consider 2 variants of manufacturing of the sheep by own hands: from felt and from a wire and crocheting threads. Both of them beautifully decorate both the Christmas tree and the New Year's table.

Felt lamb with own hands

So, let's try to sew a sheep first with the help of the presented simple master class.

For this we need:

The pattern of such a sheep is the most elementary. We need 1 detail of the head, 2 rounds for the trunk and 2 tiny rounds for the peephole. The head of the lamb is cut out on a dark brown felt, on the "melted milk" we cut out the trunk, and from the white felt cut out the eyes.

In the center of the head part, apply a drop of glue, and glue it to one of the details of the trunk. The edge of the muzzle is sewn with a brown thread by a hand-stitched seam. We do not touch the ears - they hang at random.

Eyes fasten to the head, making a black thread muline "French knot" in the center of each eye. We sew the legs of the lamb, forming them from pieces of yarn,

The yarn, tied with a bow and folded with an eyelet, is attached at the top of the toy - this is a fastener so that the toy can be hung on the Christmas tree.

Both parts of the trunk are joined together, sweeping their edges with a stitching beige floss. We leave a small hole for stuffing (sintepuh or holofayber). After packing, we finally sew halves together.

Such a sheep sewn from felt will become a wonderful decoration and will add comfort to your festive interior.

Sheep made of thread with wire frame

Another option, how to make a sheep with their own hands - twist the frame of copper wire and wrap it with woolen yarn. This sheep looks very nice, it can be put on any surface or suspended.

To do this, you need a copper wire thickness of 1.5 mm, cork from champagne or a fishing float for the head, the glue "Moment Crystal", jute twine, black and white yarn.

First we put the desired shape of the future head of the lamb, then pierce it with a wire that will be the body, bend the end of the wire and fix it so that it does not rotate. We make limbs from equal pieces of wire. Solder the legs to the body and wrap the twine neck and torso of the future sheep.

Gently wrap the head with a black thread. To do this, first glue the tip of the thread to the place where the nose will be. Next - carefully, in one layer we wrap the head, spreading a thin layer of glue the place where the thread will pass. We reach the middle, we fix the thread, we do the same from the top of the head.

When the head is ready - proceed to the winding of the legs: unbend the loops at their ends, spread the wire with glue and tightly wrap. After that, again bend the ends of the wire, re-glue all with glue and reel another layer of thread. When all the limbs are wrapped, we proceed to the trunk, having smeared the base with glue.

Ears of lamb are made from ordinary clerical clips. Lubricate them with glue, wrap with a thread, give the desired shape, again cover with glue and finally wrap it with a black thread. Leave loose small ends of the clips, with their ears will be attached to the trunk. Ready-made ears are attached to the head, after having blurred the left ends of the superglue.

Wool for lamb is made as follows: we wrap a narrow woolen thread with a narrow plate (about 1.5 cm wide), we pull one side with an ordinary thread, we cut the opposite side with a knife - we get a cheerful bunch. Such beams need a lot to hide them all the body. We glue the lamb body with bunches of white wool.

The eyes of the lamb are made of needles with balls on the tips. We paint them in white, then draw the pupils. Having shortened them to 1 cm, insert it into the head. The New Year's miracle-lamb, made by own hands, is ready!

In addition, you can make a sheep Tilda .
