Sew it yourself! It is the handset made for your phone that can become a truly unique thing, which you will not be ashamed to brag to friends or colleagues. And this, in fact, is not so difficult!
The cover for a mobile phone can be made from any material: cotton, felt, carpet, leather, jeans, etc. In this article we will provide you with some simple master classes how you can sew a phone case from a variety of materials.
Tissue case for phone
We need:
- the main fabric and fabric for lining (in our case - cotton and linen);
- doublerine;
- satin ribbon;
- beads;
- threads, needles, scissors, iron, sewing machine.
Let's get to work:
- First, you need to make a pattern of the cover, and for this you need to know the exact dimensions of the phone or, best of all, do it right on it. We cut out all the details in the form of a rectangle.
- The main part: length = twice the length of the phone + 2 cm per fold of the upper edge; width = thickness of the phone + width + 1 cm on the side seams.
- Lining: length = double length of phone; width = thickness of the phone + width + 0.5 cm on the side seams.
- From the doublerine we cut out 2 identical parts: length = double length of the phone; width = thickness + width of a telephone.
- With the help of an iron with a steam we glue the doublet to the main part and to the podkalade, while the iron does not move, but simply rearrange.
- At 4 cm from the edge of the main part with a sewing machine we sew the satin ribbon.
- We bend the details face down and sew on the sides, observing the allowances. Then we bend the allowances and press them.
- We turn the corners of the cover and pierce it at a distance of 5 mm from the corner. We turn our cover on the front side.
- We insert the lining into the main part, at the same time combining the side seams. We fold the edges, but do not sew up yet.
- From the main fabric, turn off the rose (you can take it ready) and cut off two pieces of satin ribbon.
- Manually sew the tape, then a rose. We secure the rose with the help of beads, while hiding the stitches in the folds of the flower. The ends of the satin ribbons are also fixed with beads. Behind the cover of satin ribbon sew a bow.
- Manually we sew the upper hem and iron it.

Denim case for phone
This option is suitable for those who have old unwanted jeans at home that are just a pity to throw out.
So, we need:
- old jeans;
- lightning;
- Velcro;
- Threads, scissors, ruler, sewing machine.
Progress:
- We cut out the pockets on the jeans, leaving 2.5 cm on each side.
- Stitch between the pockets of the zipper. To do this, we put the pocket on the table with the face to us, on top of it we put a zipper and sew on it, slightly receding from the edge. Next, turn the zipper face up and apply a second pocket to it. Also we sew, retreating from the edge.
- We fold the pockets face to face and sew them on three sides.
- We turn the cover from the front and attach the Velcro to the outer pockets. Cut off two small stripes from the jeans and make a handle for the cover.
