How to sew a square pothold from fabric?

  1. So, let's start with the simplest - let's try to sew a square-shaped tack. Prepare everything necessary for this: the main fabric - dense and natural, an old terry towel for the inside and sewing thread-needles.
  2. We will make a stitching loop from a small strip of the main fabric. We cut out two 20 * 20 cm squares from the main fabric.
  3. From a terry towel, we cut out the inner part of the tack - a square with sides of 20 cm. We chip all the parts of the tack together: first with the faces of the two pieces of the main fabric, then the towel from the terry towel. In the corner between the layers we insert a loop.
  4. We spend all the details of pothaking together, leaving on one side an opening for turning our product.
  5. Cut the seam allowances as close to the line as possible.
  6. Carefully turn the tack on the face, and then detach it along the contour.

How to sew a cool tack from the fabric?

  1. For potholders, we need multi-colored strips of fabric (of course, natural and dense) 25 cm in length and 3-4 cm in width. Carefully spend the strips with each other and smooth the allowances on one side.
  2. We use batting as the inner layer. We break the main part and the batting and spend it. In order for the potholder to be as cool as possible, the lines must be laid randomly. We prikalyvajem to the received preparation a pattern - in our case a head of Mikey-Mouse, and we circle its contour.
  3. From the patchwork side, attach the main fabric to the workpiece and chop all the layers together. At the same time, we mark on the workpiece a place that will not be stuck - it is through it that we will be able to turn the sticking out. For convenience, it is necessary to leave a section about 3-4 cm unshielded.
  4. We spend all the details of our cool potholders together, cut the allowances close to the seam and make incisions.
  5. We twist the potholders, we decorate its edges with a braid, while forming a loop from it.
  6. We get here such a wonderful and fun hold.

How to sew a round pothold from fabric?

  1. As a basis for our tack, we will use sintepon. It is from him that we will cut out the basic round detail. One of the sides of our stitch will be scrappy, the second one - from the basic fabric to the peas.
  2. We will put together the scraps, achieving the desired result, we will co-create them into a single whole.
  3. We smooth the resulting part and open the seam allowances. We fold the patchwork part with a part from the synthepone.
  4. We prick the resulting piece from the main fabric into polka dots.
  5. We spend pothaking on the contour of patchwork details. Crop the resulting stitch in a circle.
  6. The edge of the tack is treated with a skew-eyebrow in the color of the main fabric or any of the patchwork elements (by the way, potholders from the scraps will also look very original). In the end we get here such an unusual and bright tack!
