How to wrap the box with a cloth?
You will need:
- box;
- rather dense fabric of two colors, better cotton;
- Double-sided tape;
- adhesive for fabric;
- scissors;
- cord in the color of the fabric (or contrasting colors);
- awl.
Master Class:
- If a box with straight angles and a rectangular cover is taken as a basis, then it is quite easy to find the details on the fabric: you should measure the sides and add to the sides and the hem. Decorating round, oval boxes is quite laborious. In our case, the box has a shaped cover, so we will glue the fabric, connecting the whole box and the lid.
- We proceed to finish the bottom of the box. In all corners we glue the double-sided adhesive tape, grasping both sides of the corner.
- The box is placed closer to the center of the main fabric, but we take into account that there must be more tissue on the side of the lid.
- Bend the matter from all sides, highlighting all the reliefs of the bottom. It is important to ensure that the fabric lies as tightly as possible when glued. In some places, if necessary, you can lay symmetrical folds. Matter must partially cover the inside of the bottom of the box. Surplus fabrics at the bottom cut. On the left with one of the long sides of the fabric glue the lid, also highlighting all the reliefs and bending the fabric inward. If necessary, we grab the fabric with glue.
- We take material intended for interior decoration of the box. We build a rectangular piece for the inside of the box and circle the shape for the cover. We cut out the details from the fabric. We glue the piece on the inside of the lid. Using the rectangular part, decorate the bottom of the box.
- We pierce the capsule cover in two places, striking the decorative cord. We fix on the reverse side with the help of knots. It will be a pen. You can also, by making knot-thickening knots on the end of the cord, glue them directly to the lid, but note that in case of constant use of the casket, such a handle can come off.
