Situated on the southern slopes of the Urals, the Republic of Bashkortostan (Bashkortostan) is famous for its resorts , as well as natural sights and religious places for people with different faiths.
The most beautiful and interesting places for tourist excursions in Bashkiria are:
- The blue lake is a unique pond with blue-turquoise water, formed near the Carlamansky cave. Water comes here from sources that are located on its bottom.
- Mount Shihany - unique 4 mountains, located along the Belaya River. They used to be coral reefs on the bottom of the Ural Sea, which was on this place.
- Megalithic complex in the village of Ahunovo - some scientists consider it Bashkirian Stonehenge. 13 stones of a quadrangular shape, most of which are located in a circle. Many believe that they were used as a calendar or observatory.
- The Atysh waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall in Bashkiria, which can be found in the Arkhangelsk region. It is better to visit it in the spring, when it is most filled with water.
- Askinskaya ice cave - in this small cave is located a real glacier, the ice in which is preserved even in the summer. You can find it on the eastern slope of the Uraltau range.
- Bashkir reserve - the land in the south of the western slope of the Urals is densely populated by animals and plants listed in the Red Book, so in this area in 1930 a reserve was established.
- Mount Iremel - in translation means "Sacred Mountain", to the top of which, according to old traditions, it is impossible to ascend to mere mortals. This does not stop modern tourists, so many people make an ascent to its peak to see the picturesque places of Bashkiria from a height.
Since people of different faiths live in Bashkiria, there are many sacred places:
- the mausoleums of Hussein-bek and Tura-khan - located on the territory of Chishminsky district, the first was erected over the grave of the preacher, and the former used to be the Court House;
- St. Sergius Cathedral - originally in this place was a wooden church built in the 16th century, then it was made of stone, and from 1933 it became a cathedral;
- the cathedral mosque Lialya-Tulip - one of the main holy places for Muslims in Bashkortostan, its name came from the similarity of its towers with this flower.
