History of the breed
The ancestors of the modern Chuvash were entrusted with grazing on the slopes of the Tatras several centuries ago. For this time they managed to find high endurance, strength, independence, courage unpretentiousness. There is an opinion that the Chuvash people are not afraid even of wild boars and bears. Their ancestors consider noble arctic wolves, and they received their name due to exceptional hearing. The wool of the Chuvash is dense, and on the back there are light curls. In the course of time males grow a beautiful mane. The undercoat is dense and in summer the animals get rid of it. Color in dogs is pure white. Only on the ears is allowed a yellowish tint, but not stains.
