The child had a fever on the sea

Long-awaited vacation and a trip to the sea. This event is enjoyed by both adults and children. The fees, the road and finally the beach, it would seem, can not spoil the mood, but arriving at the sea, it is found that the child has a fever, and quite unexpectedly.

Why can the temperature rise?

The main reasons why a child can have a temperature on the sea without visible symptoms is a few:

  1. Acclimatization. Very often adaptation to a new climate on the sea causes the child to have a temperature, irritability and capriciousness. As a rule, the temperature increase is observed on the 2nd day after the move and lasts about 3 days.
  2. Stress. The nervous system of babies is very unstable and any extraordinary event can cause a psychological shock. Any long trip, lack of favorite toys and your crib can cause the child to have a high temperature both at sea and in any other place, for example, with relatives.
  3. A viral infection, such as the flu, etc. It does not sound awful, but it happens on the sea. The temperature of more than 38 degrees can last for a week, and except for lethargy, the baby of the first 3 days will not complain about anything else.

Vomiting and temperature at the child on the sea are two ally with which every parent has encountered at least once in his life. There are several reasons for this:

  1. Thermal or sunny impact. The temperature of a child after bathing in the sea can be not only because it is frozen, but also because the baby has overheated on the beach. As a rule, in addition to vomiting and fever, crumbling is accompanied by rapid breathing and high pulse, a change in color and sweating. And if you do not provide emergency assistance, the consequences can be deplorable.
  2. Food poisoning. Poor food in canteens, heat, which allows food to quickly deteriorate - all this entails a temperature of up to 38 degrees and vomiting, both in children and adults. The disease does not last long, and literally in a couple of days, the child recovers.
  3. Intestinal infection. Dysentery, rotavirus infection, salmonellosis, are the most common diseases that occur in resorts very often. They are manifested not only vomiting and fever to 40 degrees, but also diarrhea. As a rule, the symptoms last for a week and you can not do without a doctor.
  4. And finally, the most frequent reason for raising the temperature - This is if the child was re-bought in the sea and froze. Supercooling is treated as well as a cold: febrifuge, honey, lemon, more warm drink and after a couple of days, your baby will again dabble in the sea and sunbathe.

So, if you do not want to say the phrase after the holiday: "We came to the sea, the child had a fever and because of this did not rest at all", try to monitor the quality of products, do not contact sick people, often rest in the shade and watch the time of the child's stay in the sea and in the sun.

If the baby keeps the temperature for more than three days, then consult a doctor, in order to get advice and quickly recover.
